Today, more than ever, our members' very existence is at stake. We have big issues that we need to confront head-on. With more than twenty years experience coaching leadership teams throughout the US, we've learned what works, what doesn't and how to get big jobs done.
We're the largest trade association on the planet. We can do big, incredible things. Yet, we can never lose sight of our number one priority - our members. With a renewed focus on our highest priorities, we will help each other and all our members get the most out of their membership, and their career.
When it comes to politics, we are either at the table or on the menu. We must sharpen our focus to make impacts where they are needed most. We must strengthen our resolve to get members to take action so together we can continue our fight for private property rights and our members' right to run their own businesses at the same time. It all starts with WHY. It is not just Washington politics, it is at every level, and throughout the professional layers of our organization as well. Our team will help, for our members first, and always.
The American Dream of homeownership, along with ever-expanding dream of owning your own business, should be available to all. NAR has made significant strides in expanding this opportunity — in fighting for what's right, for all. We will continue this focus, break down barriers to accessing housing for everyone, strengthen our position on small business ownership, and create education to help our members regardless of who you are or where you're from. We serve our members, and you serve all, equally. We will fight to ensure barriers are taken down across our great industry.
Our nation faces an affordable housing crisis that has been many years in the making. Historically, small increases in median home costs meant hundreds of thousands of families get shut out from the dream of homeownership. That gap is only widening today, and may continue into the future. We will focus our efforts, determine the best course, and take action. Together, we can make continued —and even greater — strides for home ownership access, and our team will do what's needed to see the results of this hard work. For our members first, and to benefit the consumer in every way possible.
